From goals and challenges to solutions
How should one live this life? Choices must be made, issues handled, crises and sorrows faced. When we desire something, how can we reach it?
Enthusiasm and dreams create goals, achieving them is like navigating a labyrinth or sailing in unfamiliar waters. The thought of reaching the destination is tempting, but success isn’t achieved on its own. We need a map, a compass, the right choices and actions to achieve the desired future.
Goal is like a star in the night sky, showing where to go, providing meaning to every step and action. Orientation helps us see the path, choose the right routes, and observe obstacles and opportunities. Taking responsibility involves commitment and work towards the goal, and motivation is the force that inspires and makes us take steps forward.
At times, a situation might appear as a problem and a problem as a huge crisis of life, if only pondered alone. Often in fairy tales, there’s a clever servant who poses just the right question in a way that prompts the main character to find the best course of action.
Solution-focused thinking is a practical approach to finding the way to a better feeling or state of mind for the client, to help making choices, and clarifying situations. It assists in finding the path to reach the star you see. We focus on opportunities, ways to overcome challenges, and make concrete plans and milestones to progress towards the goal.
